What is Nafilah Sacrifice?
Nafilah qurbani is a sacrifice that is slaughtered according to the intention of the person in order to thank Allah, to get closer, to accept prayers and intentions. It can be sacrificed not only on Eid al-Adha, but every day of the year depending on the person's intention.
What are the Conditions of Nafilah Qurban?
The conditions of the nafilah sacrifice are the same as the wajib Qurbani. These are:
-The sacrificial animal must be a sheep, goat, cattle, buffalo or camel and not a wild animal.
-The sacrificial animal must have a certain age and health condition. In other words, the sacrificial animal must be healthy enough to go to the place of slaughter on its own, and there must be no deficiency or defect in its parts.

Why is a nafilah sacrifice slaughtered?
Nafilah qurbani can be slaughtered for different intentions and needs of people without being wajib. Some of these are:
-Thanksgiving sacrifice to thank Allah (swt) for the good things that have been achieved
-With the intention of aqiqa when a child is born,
-For the purpose of praying to Allah for healing from illness
-To fulfil a wish or to fulfil a promise when a wish is fulfilled.
-To send good deeds to loved ones, to do good for the intention of their past.
-For the acceptance of prayers and intentions
-To get rid of debt
-A Qurbani sacrifice can be slaughtered for any intention that passes through one's heart.
When is Nafilah Qurbani slaughtered?
Nafilah qurbani can be slaughtered every day of the year. On holy days and nights, especially on the Eid al-Adha, it is also better to slaughter a nafilah sacrifice in addition to the wajib sacrifice. Since it is wajib to slaughter the sacrificial sacrifice as soon as the wish is fulfilled, it is necessary to hurry to slaughter it as soon as the wish is fulfilled.
Who can eat the meat of a nafilah qurbani?
The meat of the nafilah sacrifice can be eaten by the person who sacrifices the Qurbani and his family. Only in the case of the sacrifice of vow, the sacrificer, the spouse of the sacrificer, his/her family, in other words, his/her father, mother, grandparents, grandchildren and children from his/her own generation may not eat the meat. The best thing is to give this meat as charity. It can also be distributed to the poor, needy and neighbours.
What are the types of Nafilah Qurbani?
It is permissible to sacrifice nafilah qurbani with very different intentions, but it is possible to classify them under certain headings.
-Nazr Qurbani: It is a sacrifice that is obligatory to be sacrificed when a person dedicates a sacrifice to Allah (swt) for the realisation of a request and the realisation of this request. The sacrifice of sacrifice can also be slaughtered before the realisation of the sacrifice.
-Aqiqa qurbani: When a new child is born, it is sacrificed for the purpose of gratitude and to wish for the health and well-being of the child.
-Healing Qurbani: It is a qurbani sacrificed for the sake of Allah with the intention of getting rid of material or spiritual illnesses and requesting healing.
-Shukr Qurbani: It is a qurbani sacrificed with the intention of thanking Allah for the blessings given by Allah, after getting rid of a certain hardship or after achieving a wish.
-Qurbani for new Vehicle: When a new vehicle is purchased, it is sacrificed with the intention of requesting protection from accidents, troubles and misfortunes and thanking Allah for this blessing.
-Qurbani for the Pasts: It is the qurbani slaughtered for the sake of one's deceased relatives.
